Listed below are some of the anti-spyware programs that SNCS Performance PCs recommends for use. For each one you will find a brief review and a link to download the free version of each title.

Spybot Search & Destroy 1.4
Popup windows are getting to be a real problem for many of our customers. The good news is that there are several programs that can be had to keep these annoyances in check. Our Personal Favorite is Spybot Search & Destroy. It works as well, if not better, than any of the spyware programs you can buy in the store, and the best part about it is that it’s free. Ad-Aware Free Anniversary Edition 1.06
If Spybot doesn’t turn up any results, you can try another program called Adaware 6.0. Find it at this link. This is the free version of Lavasoft’s commercial spyware removal tool, and it does a great job at removing unwanted applications.

NoAds 2005.02.12
NoAds stops Internet popup ads from getting in the way of your web surfing. NoAds is fully configurable, allowing you to specify which ads you want to be destroyed automatically. It supports most popular web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and America Online. The program is very easy to use, and stays running in the system tray for quick access.
